    The Swan

    The Swan (1925) is a silent film produced by Famous Players-Lasky and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film is based on Melville Baker's 1923 Broadway play adaptation, The Swan, of Ferenc Molnar's play A Hattyu Vigjatek Harom Felvonasbarn. This film was directed by Dimitri Buchowetzki, a recent Russian immigrant working for Famous Players-Lasky. Buchowetzki had directed pictures in Russia, Sweden, and Germany. The story of this film was remade in 1930 as One Romantic Night, an early talkie for Lillian Gish, and in Technicolor as a 1956 vehicle for Grace Kelly.

    The Lure of the Wild

    Jim Belmont, believing his wife Agnes loves Gordon Daniels, leaves for the Canadian wilderness with his daughter Cuddles and his dog Shep. He is killed by Mike Murdock at Daniels' instigation. Shep aids and protects Cuddles, who was abandoned to the mercy of the elements by her father's death. The dog fetches the trapper Poleon Dufresne, who sends for Agnes. She is followed by Daniels. Murdock confesses his crime to Dufresne. Shep saves Agnes from attack by Daniels and herds him to a cliff, where Daniels falls to his death. Agnes and Dufresne then wed.

    A Man Must Live

    Jeff Farnell, forced by circumstances to take a job on a New York scandal sheet while he awaits the settlement of his claim against a steel company. Jeff takes pity on Mops, who is dying of consumption, and takes her into his apartment, telling Hardcastle that he could not find her. Afraid of losing his job, Jeff hunts for a big story, finding it when he discovers that Clive Ross-Fayne, a friend he thought lost in the war, has been arraigned on charges of narcotics peddling.
