Throughout the morning, a series of films will explore the King’s passions, and a broad range of experts will join Kirsty to provide analysis of this new chapter in British history.

As the King and Queen arrive for this landmark moment in history, Huw Edwards will guide viewers through the intricacies of the symbolic oaths and sacred Christian rituals of the day’s centrepiece – the ancient coronation ceremony.

The pageantry and celebrations will continue, once the ceremony has concluded, with commentary of the spectacular coronation procession as the newly crowned King Charles III and Queen Camilla make their way back to Buckingham Palace. In-depth coverage will continue as the ceremonial day of events culminates with crowds gathering on the Mall to witness the world-famous balcony appearance of the royal family and a special fly-past to commemorate Their Majesties’ coronation day.
