Against each other are two young men with big plans. The new Danish king Christian II wants to take control of the Swedish throne with military power, but against him he has the very young Sten Sture who manages to gather the Swedish peasant army. War, love and cunning intrigue lead to the massacre.

The Danish king finally manages to conquer Stockholm. Sweden's strongest and most influential families have gathered to take part in the coronation of King Christian II. But the grandiose party suddenly turns into mass executions. Stockholm's massacre is a fact. Historians Bo Eriksson and Anna Maria Forsberg reveal the plot behind the massacre. Is Christian the Tyrant alone guilty or are there other perpetrators?
