In Scotland's Sacred Islands with Ben Fogle, the broadcaster, author and adventurer embarks on a very personal pilgrimage, travelling across some of Scotland's islands, meeting the people whose spirituality connects them deeply to where they live. Over four episodes, Ben explores the beating heart of community and spirituality from Tiree to Taransay, Iona to Harris, South Uist to the Shetlands Isles, and along the way, discovers what makes each island unique.

1. Inner Hebrides

Ben explores the ancient sea roads of the Inner Hebrides, visits Iona, the cradle of Christianity, and learns how Columba's legacy inspires people today.

2. Southern Outer Hebrides

On the second leg of his trip, Ben learns how his jumper is inspired by life in the Outer Hebrides. He meets the Singing Crofter, sees Our Lady of the Isles and learns how to keep a secret before camping on Hosta Beach.

3. Northern Outer Hebrides

In the Northern Outer Hebrides, Ben returns to Taransay, the island on which he lived for a year for a TV show 20 years ago.

4. Shetland

On the Shetlands Ben meets a Pagan, a nun living a remote monastic life, and a couple who became Christians when they moved there after living as hippies.
