This show is a stroke of f-cking brilliance, I have no other words for it, it's unlike any comedy I've ever seen, unique in every aspect, yet absolutely hilarious, don't let the average user score deter you from watching it (I will assume they never made it past episode 1), because it is an absolute gem

I'm at a loss to understand how anyone could enjoy this? I mean, great idea but in every other sense I found it woke, a bit naff and frankly, as funny as a tax office audit.

Makes me miss Black Adder.......

Clearly MovieGuys never watched this past the first episode. The first one sets it up, and simply isn't funny. I don't think it was meant to be at all.
From episode 2-3 onwards the true story starts to unfold. Every character in this is well-written, well-played and absolutely hilarious, and the relationship between the two main characters is woven together in a really gentle way; absolutely nothing 'woke' about it, unless you're possibly a bit insecure about your own sexuality.
If Buttons doesn't make you laugh, you should probably stick to The Golden Girls.
Definitely one of the most original and groundbreaking comedies of the 21st century, that will get buried in all the mass-produced wallpaper-paste "comedies" because of reviews from people like Movieguys

You've reached the end.
