Ângela Diniz: Murdered and Convicted

In the 1970s, prominent socialite Ângela Diniz divorces her wealthy husband and quickly finds herself embroiled in a custody battle over their young daughter. Later, an act of self-defense propels Ângela into the tabloids.

After moving to Rio de Janeiro, Ângela faces difficulties moving through society without a husband, but manages to make a name for herself amid a new social scene. Later, problems arise when Ângela is accused of kidnapping her own daughter.

Accused of drug trafficking, Ângela begins a romance with columnist Ibrahim Sued, but soon finds herself attracted to businessman Doca Street.
