Liv, a young woman from Helsinki, suffers from chronic pain for which she has not received a medical explanation. When Liv's DNA sample is stolen from a biobank, she encounters Markus Volf, an information security agent who is investigating the burglary of the biobank for personal reasons. It turns out that Liv’s genetic heritage may have an answer to the future of all of humanity. Liv's inheritance is also of interest to the power-hungry siblings Yoana and Sasha Leon, who lead the largest Nordic life science company Rise. A chase begins where it is difficult to know who to trust.

1. How was the Party?

Liv's DNA sample is stolen from a Nordic biobank. Markus Volf, who is investigating the theft, suspects Rise, the leading Nordic life sciences company, is behind it. Liv suspects she is being followed.

2. Don't Pressure Me!

Yoana wants to know what Sasha is keeping from her. Liv and Volf break into Rise to find out more about the sample Liv stole. Liv learns the truth about her connection to the Leones.

3. One Good One is All We Need

Peter suspects that his mother could be helping Liv with her chronic pain. Volf contacts his former lawyer Laura Manner to press charges against Rise.

4. Don't Get Hysterical

In Denmark, Alma tells Liv, Simone and Peter the truth about their relationship. Yoana tries to locate Liv. Veronica prepares to introduce Aad at an upcoming secretive conference.

5. When the Shit Hits the Fan

The vote on the gene editing law begins and GenePeace prepares to demonstrate. With Alma's help, Volf finds a way to destroy Rise. Yoana meets Liv and is shocked by her growing abilities.

Yoana has to make decisions that affect his family and Liv. Veronica suspects Yoana is lying about Liv's location. Mia and Olli discuss their future.

Liv and Volf use Sasha to find evidence against Rise. Liv is careless with her abilities and the consequences affect everything. Volf has trouble moving on with his life.
