1. The North Island

The Northern Explorer rolls from Auckland to the capital, Wellington. The train passes by the volcanoes and scenic wonders of Middle Earth to the fertile plains and Tasman sea on the west coast.

2. The South Island

The iconic journeys of two scenic trains, the Coastal Pacific and the TranzAlpine, are set amidst the spectacular landscapes of the Kaikoura coastline, Canterbury, Southern Alps, and the dramatic West Coast
