Grandmother and Scarsdale, New York resident Ruth Teig teaches Mo Rocca how to make classic Jewish cuisine. On the menu is kreplach (or Jewish ravioli) and Ruth's fluffy, modernized version of gefilte fish.
2. Gaetano Varbero - Eating Outdoors
Ninety-one year old Gaetano Varbero and Harrison, New York resident is determined to make a rugged outdoorsman out of Mo Rocca. No need to peel veggies when cooking in the great outdoors, this is "manly food."
3. Genevra Higginson - Fine Living
Mo Rocca visits grandmother Genevra Higginson at her three hundred year-old home in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Mo digs up clams on a beach and he and Genevra cook up fresh clam chowder, lobster prepared with seaweed and peach pie.
4. Peggy Guiliano: 'giving Back
Peggy Guiliano of Caldwell, New Jersey devotes much of her life to her grandchildren and giving back to those in need. Peggy introduces Mo Rocca to the soup kitchen at New Jersey's oldest church.
5. Eva Levitis - Russian Fare
Mo Rocca learns classic Russian cuisine from former Muscovite and current Brighton Beach, Brooklyn resident Eva Levitis. Eva shows Mo how to make a Russian salad called "Oiiver" and Chicken Kiev.
6. Manee Soohoo - Getting to Know You
Manee Soohoo, a Thai grandmother living in Harlem, shows Mo the secret to making a perfect green curry.
7. Chris Massie: Christmas at the Firehouse
In this Christmas episode, Chris Massie, also known as "Gramps" at the firehouse, puts Mo through all the usual firefighting training exercises and then they make a stick-to-your-ribs, mouth-watering Christmas dinner.
8. Tom & Mary Napolitano - Cooking Together
Tom and Mary Napolitano of Nassau County, Long Island have been married for over sixty years. Mo meets the inspirational couple and cooks some classic Italian food.
9. Mary Gray and the Golden Gals
Mo Rocca meets Fishkill, NY resident Mary Gray and her three dearest friends - Lillian, Frances, and Estelle. Mary was born in America, but she is of Polish decent, so she teaches Mo how to make multiple varieties of perogies.
10. Venetta Lurine Williams: Island Eats
Jamaican born and Bronx resident Venetta Lurine Williams shows Mo Rocca how to make quintessential Jamaican dishes. Jerk chicken or curried ox tail are on the menu, there'll be mountains of food to feed Venetta's very large family
11. Casa de Maria Lopez
On the menu for dinner are classic national dishes such as the fish appetizer Cerviche, and a hearty goat stew Seco de Chivo. To shop for the meal Mo Rocca visits Maria's favorite local butcher, who practices Halal butchery.
12. Cookie Oma - Ich Bin Ein Chef
Mo meets Hildegarde "Cookie Oma" Mahncke who lives in River Vale, NJ. Wearing leopard print outfits and being outspoken is Cookie's style...she's no shrinking violet.
13. Meena and Mona: Three Generations of Friends
Meena Despande and Mona Vasuden were both born in Mumbai, India, but didn't meet until they moved to the U.S. over 30 years ago. They have become best friends and live close to one another in Somerset, NJ.
