Michael Bellicher, the rising man in Dutch consultancy agency HC&P, receives an award from CEO Huib Breger. After another adulterous night with an ex, she's murdered at her home. Michael tries to cover up, but his wife finds out and leaves him with young son Kees. Once the police investigates Bellinger as a suspect, Huib fires him stat. Mysterious men, whom Michael catches ransacking the victim's and his own home, nearly kill him by arson.

When Michael Bellicher links a colleague's suicide to a terrifying conspiracy involving the mysterious Miller Network, he becomes a suspect in what is now a murder case and is forced to go on the run.

Chased by Huib Breger, a secret agent of the Miller Network, Michael meets an informant who passes on confidential information about a secret project the company is working on, before advising him to get in contact with a man named Vince Batte.

Michael discovers that the conspiracy is much bigger than he previously thought, and Vince realizes that the only place where it's possible to safely log onto the Miller Network's site is through a computer belonging to Michael's boss.

Michael races to Brussels in a desperate effort to expose the conspiracy, while Kirsten and Vince hack into The Miller Network's main computer, unaware that Breger is on his way to intercept them.
