Darcey Bussell's Wild Coasts of Scotland

The former ballerina and Strictly Come Dancing judge explores the islands off the west coast of Scotland and finds out more about her Scottish ancestry. Her odyssey begins on the Isle of Skye, where she tries scallops fresh from a loch, has a bash at step dancing and goes wild swimming in honour of her grandfather.

The former ballerina visits Uist in the Outer Hebrides, where she encounters a rare breed of pony and makes a spectacular crossing across the sands with a herd of Highland cattle.

In Islay, Darcey encounters the third largest whirlpool on earth, Corryvreckan, samples whisky at the Ardbeg Distillery, fishes for lobster and masters some tricky dance moves.

In Bute, Darcey's shown the fine art of sword dancing, sketches the rugged skyline of the Isle of Arran and pays an emotional visit to the Hermitage, where her grandfather spent his childhood summers
