The murder of an undocumented teenager in the small town of Seri Daik brings Inspector Munir back to the birthplace he left 17 years ago. He runs into Ustaz Yusof, a religious scholar who was once Munir’s friend, and whom Munir blames for the death of his sister during a failed exorcism. Yusof believes the culprit they’re looking for may not be of this world. When another teenager disappears under mysterious circumstances, Munir and Yusof must form an unlikely partnership to uncover the dark secret at the heart of this small town

1. Prodigal Sons

A murder investigation brings Inspector Munir back to his hometown Seri Daik. His return forces him to confront old wounds. This includes Yusof, the man who was once Munir’s friend until a tragedy drove them apart.

2. Pulling the Wool

Yusof is questioned by Munir and Cay as a suspect in Haikal’s disappearance. Further investigation leads Munir to a settlement of squatters in the jungle while Cay pursues her own leads.

3. Cradle Snatcher

The list of suspects in Haikal's disappearance grows, even as the search teams come up empty-handed. Yusof learns that Wangi has been studying black magic under his father, Pak Akob.

4. The Dead Tell No Tales

Haikal's death casts a pall over Seri Daik. Driven by guilt, Munir resorts to extreme measures to solve the case. Dato' Jamil suspects that forces within his own organisation are conspiring against him.

5. Catch-22

A shocking truth about Dato' Jamil comes to light. As Munir and Cay continue to dig, Dato' Steven puts contingency plans in place. Yusof races to identify the person in his latest vision and prevent another death.

6. Under One's Nose

With the body count rising, Munir concedes that something here defies logical explanation and that Yusof's visions may be the key. Dato' Jamil takes drastic measures to stop things spiraling further out of control.

Munir and Cay seek to understand why Dato' Jamil had the original path of the highway rerouted. Dato' Steven makes his move. Another teenager goes missing.

The discovery of the mass grave sends Seri Daik into a frenzy. Yusof worries he will not be able to prevent his father’s death. Munir learns that Husna is missing – this has become personal.

Dato' Jamil stands alone. Pak Akob sets out to save a life. And Munir realises there is another player in the game.
