Black Sands

Detective inspector Anita returns to her hometown after a 15-year absence. She dreads meeting the people she's long been avoiding. En route, she's called back to duty after a body is found on the shore by Glerársandar.

The appearance of the injured girl changes the investigation of the death of the tourist, but the lack of ambition and mediocre work ethics of the police complicate matters. Anita strengthens her bonds with those who are closest to her.

Anita makes a serious error while interrogating the girl, and the team tries to get their act together before everything falls apart. The widower arrives in Iceland and shines a light on the case that starts to take on a whole new shape.

Gusti interviews Lena and finds out how his colleagues have made a botch of things. Frida's under pressure and the imminent arrival of Gusti to town, which encourage Anita to look for assistance in a familiar place.

The autopsy confirms murder. Salomon visits Helga and Elin while Anita battles Gusti, who has extended his stay. Cold cases lead to new information, and a lovers' soiree takes an unexpected turn.
