Biography

Samya Rahmani was born in London, England to Iraqi parents and grew up between Canada and Jordan. She started acting at age 11 when she played a small role in Guys & Dolls and stayed involved in theatre throughout high school and university. She's trained at the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts and at the esteemed William Esper Studio in NYC. Sam broke out into television and film with "Child Bride" which screened at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. She played Lamma in the Apple TV+ anthology series "Little America", Zadi in the Hulu Original comedy "Woke", and made an appearance on The CW's "Riverdale" and "Charmed". You can also catch her on Netflix's "The Night Agent" and "Firefly Lane" and AMC's "Lucky Hank". Sam's most recent projects include starring roles in two upcoming feature films as well as a series lead in the hit TV show "New Baghdad". Samya is fluent in Arabic and speaks both Iraqi and Levantine dialects. She also speaks French and is a self-proclaimed Francophile.
