Newly wed couple Gay and Pel Butterworth are forced to take in some strange paying guests when their inheritance proves troublesome, but all is not as straight forward as it seems, when they discover they may have to divorce to get their hands on half the money...

Long-winded domestic comedy about unbearably lovey-dovey couple (Sinden and Cummins) struggling for money who decide to take in lodgers. Then, in a contrivance too far, lawyer Wattis tells them that to gain an inheritance they have to be divorced, causing Sinden to engineer an assignation with slinky Steele, to create legal grounds. It is all frothy forced fun. Smooth stars do their best.
