This is a baudy, homophilic story of the struggle of art under autocratic, repressive, religious, censorious regimes. Oh wait - Isn't that nearly every government in the world?

I'm giving this a 7 but I have a very strong suspicion that the release we saw has been cut to shreds. (Typical American distributions.) This won awards in the Rio IFF which is no small accomplishment, so it's probably an 8 or 9 in the original. Our version didn't clearly convey the political content of the film.

You've reached the end.
