Ramona’s life in a Galician fishing village is a constant hustle. Always sacrificing everything for her daughter’s future, she will be pushed to look inwards and to think that, maybe, there is something new to live for.

Alex, a young actress, is sexually assaulted at a New Year’s Eve party at a friend’s house. That night, she never manages to see the face of her aggressor, a fact that will end up eating away at her. Throughout the following year, she will have to face feelings of guilt, disgust and shame. While Alex tries to channel all her pain through theatre, where she takes on the role of the famously vengeful Medea, her brother, Adrian, must face the guilt he feels at not having been able to protect his sister and his impulse to let himself be carried away by his own decisions. What were once the typical conflicts you might expect between any siblings, give way to much more extreme and complex emotions.

Ramona lives with a husband with whom she barely communicates and works in a canning factory with an abusive supervisor.

He threatens that if he doesn’t receive $2,400 he will mass-mail the pictures to all her work contacts in order to ruin her professional reputation. The shame, anger and distress caused by the ineffectiveness of the legal forces lead Pati to set out on her own investigation to stop the Hacker and regain control and power over her privacy.

Bruno’s (18) life is increasingly limited by the growing dependence of his grandmother Natividad (86), the only family he has ever known. When the opportunity to take her to a nursing home arises, both will have to deal with a decision they had not allowed themselves to consider before.
