Story following Kuromi as she travels around the world in search of her missing sister, Romina, who makes her first appearance in this anime. In addition to Romina, a number of new characters will appear, including the friends who travel with Kuromi and a member of an evil organization that stands in the way of their journey.

There are two worlds. The world we live in now, The Alley; and another world, The Garden. But The Garden is a secret hidden from most, only accessible to a chosen few.

The story follows the dark forest-dwelling Luna, who people fear is a black witch because poisonous mushrooms grow wherever she goes. As such, the townspeople call her the "Mushroom Witch."
