
Lola, 11, is sister to 5-year-old Simon, who lives in a world of his own. By observing him, she notices how sensitive he is to small, hidden sounds. With her friend Rolih, they decide to build a noise machine to communicate with him.
A woman is trying to have a dialogue with a man on a pedestal. She wants to tell him something using the sign language, while he remains silent, cast in stone. Only when the statue is hit by a rock and it begins to fall apart, is there a chance for the two characters to find understanding.

French trench line, 1918. After being shot in the head and surviving, soldier André Musil deserts to search for his beloved twin sister Fernande, who has suddenly stopped writing. She’s a dancer at Les Ballets Russes who is rehearsing “L’après-midi d’un faune”, directed by Nijinski. But when André arrives in Paris, he finds out she’s vanished after crossing paths with a man named Lucien Guillet, aka Landru.

The dog meets a crocodile in the sewer and invites him home so he can wash and eat before dog’s owner returns. The crocodile tells him his story and learns that he is not so scary, and that he will live in a zoo better than in the sewer.

When World War II breaks out in 1939, several people from different countries and social backgrounds must decide which cause they want to defend.
