The Soviet Actress, Ada Voistik, and its camrades tell us the story of this unique period, through the images of soviet fic-tional works produced between 1917 and 1934. A utopia which will be brought down by an authoritarian power impacting cinema as much as the rest of society.

24 February 2022: Russia invades Ukraine. Romain Goupil leaves for Kyiv in a hurry. It was an imperative decision for him to go and support the Ukrainian resistance by filming to bear witness. He left without knowing if he would find a family ready to welcome him to share with them life day after day under the threat of bombing. Finally, the Kyiv circus welcomed him. Romain spent a month in this closed environment imposed by the war on men and animals.

Some of them give up wearing a bra as a form of reappropriation of one's body. However, when Herminie Cadolle presented her first bra prototype a century earlier, this former Communard, wanted to free the woman's body from the shackles of the corset. A Western invention, it conquered all continents: exported by the colonizers, then by the GIs, it was adopted by all the women in the world. Today 1.46 billion bras are produced every year. The film traces the history of this piece of cloth by revisiting its role in society. Both an object of desire and a constraint, the bra tells the story of women’s liberation.
